Located in Galyani Vadhana District, Chiang Mai, Ban Chan is surrounded by expansive natural pine forests. At elevations of 1,300–1,600 metres, the region's cool mountain climate and shade-grown agroforestry practices create favourable conditions for slow cherry maturation and the development of distinctive Arabica coffees.

Saenchai Estate is led by Saenchai Jupo, an Akha coffee producer recognized for his meticulous approach to cultivation and innovative processing techniques. With achievements in prestigious Thai coffee competitions, including the Cup of Excellence and Thailand Specialty Coffee Awards, Saenchai continues to push the boundaries of Thai specialty coffee while emphasizing sustainable farming, forest conservation, and knowledge-sharing within his community.
